Projects

The brief for this project was fairly straightforward: shoot a scene from a static viewpoint (using a tripod), taking several shots at different focal lengths.

My location for this exercise is a small garden, a few doors down from my office, where I often visit to eat my lunch in peace.

As you can see from the shots, using a different lens from the same viewpoint, simply magnifies the image.

To conclude

If you want to get in close, but you cannot physically move closer to the subject, use a lens with a longer focal length.
