Started reading this. It’s not on the Reading List but another John Berger book is and Amazon were doing a deal. I’ve started reading this one because it was published first.

First chapter went over my head abit to be honest. I think some of it was about how when simply just viewing an image you can never truly experience the same perspective as the image’s creator.

An example of this  I liked is:

wheat_field_with_crows

It’s “Wheatfield with Crows” by Van Gogh.

You are asked to look at the image for a few moments before turning the page.

On the next page, you find out more information about the painting.

[Hover over the picture, I’ve set it as its Alt text].

By knowing this information, you cannot look at the image in the same light as you did previously.
